Hi - My name is Dave Kovach. I am a graphic designer, illustrator and muralist
based in North Canton, OH. I have been creating artwork of all kinds my entire life.
I have a love for all things creative utilizing my abilities in design and painting.
After graduating with a degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institute
of Pittsburgh, I began working as a designer at Burnett Advertising located in Canton, OH.
I eventually made my way to The Canton Repository where I enjoyed 27 years working
with clients in creating effective advertisements, logos, and other branding materials.
I worked along side the marketing team in finding new and innovative ways to promote
the newspaper, community events, and area businesses.
I have been a freelance designer and artist since high school. I continue that today, collaborating with a wide range of clients - from retail businesses to nonprofit organizations.
I am often working on commissioned pieces of art in a wide range of mediums and styles.
I was introduced to airbrushing as a teenager. Whether it was airbrushing t-shirts for my friends, painting murals for the neighborhood roller rink, or customizing the "Radmobile" -
my friend's '83 Chevette, I began a lifelong affection for airbrushing. I enjoyed many years painting shirts on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD.
I have since moved on to bigger things... painting walls with fun murals and environments
for churches, hospitals, and even homes. I partner with each client in developing
engaging and colorful themed surroundings. I love it.
I am excited to see what's next! It may be designing an imaginative
logo for an area restaurant or painting the children's wing
at a church or hospital.
I have learned that if I am not creating something, I don't feel right inside.
I believe that's what a "passion" is - living the life you love.
For me, its being innovative, artistic, and creative.
